Committee Members
Co-Convenors - Gavin Gatenby
Gavin was an activist long before EcoTransit came into being, having been involved in the Wolli Creek Preservation Society, amongst others. These days he is a keen campaigner for extending light rail, especially with peak oil just around the corner.
Treasurer - Leah Mason
Leah Mason aspires to being a keen cyclist (hasn't settled on a helmet friendly hairstyle yet) and an avid walker. She spends time working on transport because of its importance for sustainable living and social equity.
Secretary - John Bignucolo
John is a keen cyclist and cycle advocate.
Public Officer - Jim Donovan
Jim Donovan first entered the world of transport activism in the early 1970s after realising how badly cyclists were treated by other road users. Since then he has appeared countless times in newsprint and on radio and television advocating the need to improve public transport. Jim is EcoTransit's Public Officer, but also works hard as a spokeperson for Action for Public Transport, where he provides regular public comment on the day-to-day problems faced by public transport commuters.
