Infrastructure Australia Submissions Due

15 Oct 2008 - 8:00am
15 Oct 2008 - 5:00pm

It is incredibly important for everyone to make a submission about NSW claims on the Federal infrastructure budget. We need to support sustainable public transport and to show our profound lack of support for anymore money to be spent on new motorways in Sydney.

On 20 March 2008, the Federal Government established Infrastructure Australia to develop a strategic blueprint for unlocking key economic infrastructure bottlenecks and modernising the nation’s transport, water, energy and communication assets. This work will inform the Federal Government’s allocations for the $20 billion Building Australia Fund and provide a source of funding for infrastructure investment nation-wide.

The NSW submission to Infrastructure Australia provides the State’s opening statement in the identification of key infrastructure needs of national significance. It should be read in conjunction with the State Infrastructure Strategy which outlines NSW commitment to infrastructure delivery over the next 10 years. Infrastructure Australia will use this submission as part of the process in developing the first Infrastructure Priority List.
