Ticket price drop leads to huge jump in rail travel on airport line

How about a toll on the M5 East to eliminate the airport station surcharges ("Ticket price drop leads to huge jump in rail travel", Herald, June 9)? The combination of these two overdue transport policy changes would mean less congestion on the roads and a more attractive deal for rail users without the need for additional government subsidies. All that is seemingly needed is a modicum of political courage.
